Hey y’all! Guess what time it is?! It’s LSU Tiger football time! I am so excited for the game this weekend in Houston (wish I could be in attendance).
This wedding is for the die hard Tiger fans! Gold bridesmaids dresses with purple bouquets. This couple has planned their wedding according to the football schedule no doubt. They sent out their save the dates based on the LSU ticket design! The groom’s cake is lovely depiction of LSU football. This couple even got special access to take wedding photos in Death Valley! This wedding party is sure to be yelling GEAUX TIGERS by the end of the night!
Spring time for me equals stripe time. Stripes are always my go to when I need a quick and easy outfit. The touches of gold are the perfect way to dress up the simple black and white stripes. Guests are welcomed in with striped escort cards. Once seated, guests can view the menu and get to know other guests. The gorgeous cake is passed around. The night ends with a confetti exit for the happy couple!
As I flipped through the Kate Spade 2014 Spring Style Guide I couldn’t help but imagine sipping lemonade on the back porch on a sunny day. This inspired a bridal shower brunch full of bright yellows and blues. Guests can chose any type of lemonade from the lemonade bar. The tables feature soft simple flowers in an array of blue colored vases. This bride is all about bold patterns in a subtle way like in this gorgeous invitation suite.
It has been over a month since I have been home and with the upcoming Mardi Gras break I simply can’t wait! Therefore, with home on my mind, I bring you this week’s wedding wednesday: home on the bayou.
The perfect wedding for a girl from a small town. Chances are it’s featured on the front page of the local newspaper [or you can have fake ones printed and pretend like this couple]. An engagement session with a bayou backdrop is simply heavenly. This bride embraces her culture by featuring local swamp plant elements in her bouquet and the boutonnieres. Family and friends can grab a cold one from the pirogue ice chest then a “two less mud bugs” koozie. The groom’s cake features his favorite sport team [LSU of course] and his favorite seafood [crawfish]. Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band play zydeco music while guests cut a rug late into the night.
Monday night, one of my really good friends hosted a wine ice cream tasting. During the “ice storm” last week she tweeted Mercer’s Dairy in a desperate plea, and to her surprise, they sent 6 pints! I am not a big wine drinker, but I must say it was pretty tasty (especially the chocolate). This tasting inspired me to make the ultimate wine-oh wedding board. This wedding takes place just before sunset at vineyard off the coast of Southern California. The bride is in a lace gown with a bouquet full of ivory and blush flowers. Guests will have a seated dinner on the vineyard lawn as they watch the sunset. After cutting the cake atop a gorgeous glittered table, guests will be served a taste of the raspberry wine ice cream. Family and friends each get to take a bottle of wine from the vineyard after dancing into the night.
