In honor of the first day of fall two days ago…I present “Falling in Love”! Get it? I hope so. This lovely wedding is the epitome of fall wedding. This wedding is simple with small touches of the couples’ uniqueness. Cheers to fall!
This week I have followed the #ahinspired images religiously. Inspired is a one of a kind workshop experience for creative business women to grow, connect and be inspired. The year’s workshop was held in Nashville, TN. There were 15 speakers, you can view here. One day, I will be in attendance, but until then…I will follow along via the beautiful images.
In honor of New York Fashion Week 2014, I will share a few of my favorite upcoming looks for the spring. Kate Spade, Tory Burch and J. Crew are a few of my favorite designers. I fell in love with multiple pieces from each of their lines. I simply cannot wait for these spring items to hit the shelves!
Over the Labor Day holiday, I attended a wedding in San Antonio, Texas. The couple was absolutely in love and they had the most fun for their ribbon exit.
I have had this exit on my my mind ever since; thus, a ribbon wedding. I love adding small details to a wedding that mean something to the couple that not every might know. I like to think that this bride wore a ribbon in her hair on their first day, and it has meant something to the couple since. Here we have a whimsical ribbon backdrop, as well as, ribbons blowing in the wind from each of the bouquets. I love the texture of this cake resembling a ribbon. Of course this couple also has a ribbon exit surrounded by family and friends.
Hey y’all! Guess what time it is?! It’s LSU Tiger football time! I am so excited for the game this weekend in Houston (wish I could be in attendance).
This wedding is for the die hard Tiger fans! Gold bridesmaids dresses with purple bouquets. This couple has planned their wedding according to the football schedule no doubt. They sent out their save the dates based on the LSU ticket design! The groom’s cake is lovely depiction of LSU football. This couple even got special access to take wedding photos in Death Valley! This wedding party is sure to be yelling GEAUX TIGERS by the end of the night!
After a future bride shared a picnic wedding picture of her dreams [and deciding to elope after much discussion], I have become obsessed with the idea of a picnic wedding. It seems so fun, relaxed and most of all easy…[wedding+easy=what?]
Imagine an afternoon full of family, friends and laughter. Guests seated on quilts, rugs or picnic tables. Everyone sharing a meal together and playing games. The perfect afternoon to celebrate the joining of two families.
My roommate and I are preparing to move into the sorority house in the fall. We have finally picked a color palette and I could not be more excited…grey and white with lavender accent pieces. Lavender has been on my mind ever since we chose the color. So here it is…a lavender wedding wednesday!
I am mildly obsessed with bouquets that only use one type of flower…it makes such a statement. Pair it with these gorgeous bridesmaids’ dresses in this very light blush. I think I’m in love! By adding lavender seed favors to the table setting, it makes it easy for guests to put away then to take home later. This cake takes it all!
Father’s Day is only 4 days away! I have decided to put together must-have shots of a bride and her father for this occasion. My dad has pushed me to be the best I can. He is the one person I hate to disappoint, and to him I will always be his little girl. This post is for all of the wonderful dads out there. Thank you for raising beautiful daughters!
My first time hearing about the luxury wedding summit was in December of 2012. I became very intrigued with everyone I saw who were attending. This was also the first time I discovered Lara Casey with Southern Weddings. I was completely smitten with the entire thing.
Engage is one of the most amazing workshops/conferences/summits ever. No detail goes unturned. They put their heart and soul into everything they do. I have been following the hashtag dreaming of being at The Bachelor Gulch. One day I’ll get there….one day…
Happy Wednesday everyone! The poor internet connection at my parent’s house is really putting a damper on blogging. The internet takes forever, and I am not the most patient person.
Yesterday, Waiting on Martha tweeted this gorgeousbar cart! I have been day dreaming about all of the possibilities since. [I’m pretty sure if this were mine, I would find a way to incorporate it into my wedding.]
This inspired me to think of different ways to showcase beverage stations at parties. Think outside the box; what is your favorite drink of choice? Do you and your beau prefer the same cocktail? Think signature drink!Bourbon and whiskey bars are popular in the south, but you could create a wine, martini, margarita bar. [No alcohol wedding, no problem…soda bars are just as fun] A wedding reception should focus on the bride and groom; therefore, add personal touches anywhere you can.
